See i know of a standard (ish, zorst, chip etc) that will beat GTi-R's on the move. 4wd saps lots of power.

However, i've tried racing 2 GTi-Rs, and im pretty sure both were not standard, i got left behined like i would if i raced a bike

Thats what i thought Gambit, but the car im on about was PVD ponce Petes, and Donna was in the car at the time, and according to her, Pete edged away from the GTi-R.

And tbh, even though it has 220bhp, when rolling, i can see a 2.0 corsa keeping pace (not from 0mph obviously) for a little bit due to the fact it doesn't have the big transmission losses that a 4wd car does.

but the pulsar gtir's are renowned for doing sub 5 0-60 can't have that big transmission and power loss from 4wd

4wd helps it get off the line.

Im talking about rolling speed (i.e about 70mph-100mph).

IM not saying it will beat it (before the usual lot go off on one again), im saying i can see how it would be fairly close.

4wd does sap a lot of power. A LOT more than a 2wd car will.

i raced a supposedly 284bhp gtir, the lad obdviously didnt have a clue, running my 5 on 15psi and i sat side by side with him and at one point edged infront, im not saying that id beat one cuz my mates got one thats 315bhp and fcuk me its quick, but in standard form i couldnt see one making me look stupid, but my cars light as fcuk, couldnt really see a corsa 2.0 keeping with one to be honest! waiting for my critisism now

if a 2.0 litre16v turbo can give a Subaru Impreza a run for it's money and just get beaten i think somebody with a 2.0 litre turbo corsa can beat a focus RS due to the power to weight ratio!

my mate has owned a clio cup and now an rs focus, he said they are about teh same to 60 but then the focus totally dicks on his old cup.

no corsa, even the 2l turbos would standa chance, they cant put the power down, the rs is 4wd.
