My brother got done for drink driving a while ago, and he had only passed his test a year before. He had an 18 month ban, reduced to 14 months if he did a rehab course. Will he have2 re-take his test? He seems to think he will just get his licence back but i believe this is not the case

No retake, with an extended (think 90 mins) Test if my memory serves me right.

I think he has to do a standard re-test unless he's told by the court that he has to take an extended test

definately has to take a retest. Cos if u get 6points in the first 2 yrs of driving, you also lose your license.

regardless of how long you've had ur license, it's a extended retest

so I've heard...

I thought the ban period was 2 yrs?

I'd check this out if i was him as most drink driving charges do not involve a retake, however Dangerous on the other hand involves a compulsary resit

i have got done 4 speeding twice = 6 points, 1 is still goin through and i have been driving for 14 months, i will have to take a retest, my theory and practical! its shit!!! there int no other options at all!!!!
