Does anyone know if you receive a fine instantly when your car's tax has expired, or if there is some time delay before a fine is given.

Thanks

You "might" get a couple of days grace because they are downloading reports. But you shouldnt really.

How much is the fine? A girl at work says she's just gonna wait til payay (Oct 7th) til she buys her road tax
Says she's gonna hide the car under a sheet in the garage and she'll be fine

I got done on a car I dont drive much last month, it took just over a month to come. They give you the option to pay asap 40 plus the money not paid in tax for the month 26.00 or you have till the end of the next month to pay and its 80 and 26.00.
