Evening All!

I have just had a 4.5 inch Rage backbox fitted to my 1.2 SXI Corsa C. I can hardly hear it and for the £150 its cost me im abit pissed off!

Some people have told me that i need to take out my Cat Converter? Are they right? Has anyone had similar problems with their Corsa C backbox?
Also the car is under warrenty so am i allowed to take the cat out?

Please any help would be good!

Your not 'allowed' to take the cat off full stop if the car is going to be used on the road.

Taking it out will allow the engine to breath better and may increase noise as well as release power.

Take out the middle section and replace it with a straight through pipe.

Do u know roughly what this would cost?
Would vauxhall let me do this?

Roughly £100, depends where you go.

i got a custom back box and it sounds shit hot.

lol Peco BB4 (Stainless Boxer version)... Liked the tailpipe an could afford it at the time... an they are quite loud... people slate them but there nowt much wrong with them...
Heard all good things about rage... All universal tho so ure gonna have to pay a bit more to fit them, but should be pretty loud..

Am goin to go and speak to Powerflow 2morro about the centre pipe bein changed. Will also go and ask vauxhall if thats ok to do that?

get your centre silencer taken out, it wont fail its MOT and is totally legal, im having mine done on wednesday for £40 at powerflow.

or do it yourself, cut the box out, clamp a pipe in.
