plz help or give advice if u can. 
i hav had my car at an electronic specialist because it has a problem. 
sometimes when i start the car it struggles 2 kick into life and coughs and splutters ( i hav 2 rev it 2 get it into life) 
it then idles very high and eractic. 
they said that they hav checked everything and it is the ecu that needs repairing!! 
n e ideas if it is true and is so r they dear 2 buy or can i get one out of another corsa sport (1.4 16v)??

the dreadend immobiliser will prove to be a problem! 
 
Find a place than can test the ecu, if they have diagnosed it on the basis that its all thats left that it could be then I wouldn't trust it. 
 
Does it run ok once it has started?

It sounds like your throttle is sticking is it a there is a sensor between the air filter and the carb / injectors take that out and give it a clean hope this works Lee
