i am thinkin of buyin an M reg clio 16v of a fella round my area.

its in absolutely mint condition, and has been well looked after by both previous owners ( i know this as i have known of this car for 2 years and my mates know the owners)

it has:

17" kahn RSS alloys
superchip
cams
induction kit
full s/s zorst with de-cat
decent ICE setup (dont know spec exactly)
lowered 120mm at the rear and 60mm at the front

i know its a modded car, but i also know its been done properly and has been much loved, and never street raced or seriously caned.

the fella wants £3500 for it but he may take less

i am thinking of buying it as my corsa is starting to de-preciate quite rapidly and i cant afford a newer car just yet.

if i buy this clio then its not goin to lose much value whatsoever as clio 16v's tend to hold their money quite well, and i aim to buy a saxo vts next year when i have a bit more money.

for me this makes sense, just wondered wot u lot think

Be careful of the clutch, expensive to fix. 17s may fuck the car a little I'm not sure, worth looking into! Whats the mileage?

mileage is roundabout the 70k mark which is gud for a car of that age.

i know the clutch is dodgy on these cars and the engine is notoriously hard to work on, but the fellas who have owned it previously have maintained this car well and may have already replaced it.

i am guna ring the fella up and organise a look around it tomoro

incidently, i only plan to own the car for about 6 months or so until i can save the rest of the money needed to put towards a 106 gti/saxo vts
