i have jst had my corsa engine transplanted from a 1.0 3cyl to a 1.6 16v done by courtenay sport, i have it running at standard as 110bhp it was from an astra,
so whats every1's engine specs
meaning what power u got and what u done to ur 1.6 16v?
the reason y i didn't go any bigger as in engine size is coz i thought 1.6 16v is enough power gain considering i only had a little 1.0 3cyl,

1.6 astra engie is 100 bhp. however i believe now that some of the 1.6 corsa engine tuning parts will now fit this engine

my corsa is arden blue u will have seen me bout, but im not 1 of them lads to go racing rnd the city or hangin bout down the city,
o and yes u can get sum good and well worth it tuning parts and my engine is 110 not 100bhp

Hooooollllllld up a minute.
The inlet manifold, is it straight back, or do the inletts curve halfway up?
If its teh curvy one, Kris is right. 100bhp hi torque model. Slightly less power, but slightly more torque at a lower RPM.
X16XE mods should still fit. You may have the X16XEL though.

well i didn't wanna get technical as i must say im not with it when it comes to talking engines all i knw is my engine is from an astra its a 1.6 16v c16xe and i got told from the lads it was a 110bhp and also they can do me a inlet manifold for jst over £700 which adds 20bhp which wud take it up to 130bhp

C16XE is 109bhp. Didn't think it was ever fitted to astras though?? U got a piccy of it? I'll tell u what lump it is.
£700, i hope that includes fitting? And being COurtnay, that will be the mantzel box. Good modification, but will need to spend more to get the best from it as it works higher up the rpm range and the std limiter is too low.

yeah daimo m8, 109bhp sounds right,they probably done it to a round figure instead of an exact figure, and £700 does include fit5ting and yes it was a mantzel yeah i shall spend more but slowly

And i'd advise to buy it too.
I'd much rather purchase prooved 2nd hand gear than pay courtnay  Fitting shouldn't be too hard either.
In fact, Matts got the complete package, so if u got the moola handy, i'd buy matts stuff now  (even if u fit it at a later date!!)

might do, as i say all i set up this topic for is to c what peeps have done to their 1.6 16v engines and what power they is running,i aint to bothered on my power im more of a styling person and anything is better than my 1lt 3cyl i used to have

I agree. Matt's engine is a superb example of a well tuned engine, put together by a very good engine builder. Well over 130bhp and the potential of more to come later...

Well put it this way,
With the C16XE engine, Donna has 161bhp @ 7500rpm.
Mods
Mantzel inlet manifold. Lexmaul 4-2-1 Exhaust manifold. Cat back exhaust, Ind kit, Superchip, errrr. thats it.
Car was RR at 114bhp with ind kit and Cat back exhaust b4 mods and on the same RR.
U dont get that much torque from it, but then ur never gonna get a good amont from the 1600 engine. Even Andys H 214bhp 1.6 16v only has 145lb ft. Standard 2.0litre torque.

guy in my town has xel astra engine, it is using c16xe throttle bodies, although he had to modify them a little

Mine been rollin roaded at 113 bhp and 118 bhp.
Same mods on same rollin road..Except the time it got 118 the car had just had a full service etc..plugs/filter/oil/flush etc.
But thats full magnex zorst with decat and ind kit..thats it..Well looked after and
regulary serviced and maintaned.

Thats the Astra engine with the lower bhp its got 100bhp instead of 109bhp. It looks the same as the one Daimo bought.
