When i redline my car in first gear and change into second rapidly and release the clutch quickly i get a bit of wheel spin. Is this normal for a 1.2 Sxi i've always related this type of thing to happen to powerful cars, not 1.2 16v's.

If you get to the right place in the power curve then yeah, the weakest link will give way. I wouldn't recommend it though as of course it puts every other part of the tranmission under stress for that moment. And if your tyres have more grip than your drive shafts have torsional rigidity? Bang bang shaft

Wheelspinning a 1.2 in 2nd. I'd be concerned at the lack of throttle control and bad driving

Ok ok no problems.

It seems to do it whatever i'm doing with my throttle tho, if i take my foot off the throttle when i do it, it still wheel spins so i dunno.

I was just saying i'm suprised a 1.2 16v has enough torque to do it
