Only a de-cat gave a power increase on mine (5bhp), magnex backbox didn't give any increase!
I know a lad who's got a full janspeed stainless de-catted but lost to another standard corsa after replacing his middle box with a straight through pipe!

personally i think you should go for the whole complete system (including sports manifold). because for a sports exhaust the exhaust will only work well and perform well if it is matched with the correct manifold, so really you want a new manifold right the way back (2.5" ????) go for good manufacturers like sebring, magnex etc, avoid peco
give PVD a ring, they will be able to help u

2.5" is overkill on a standard engine.

Just get a decent system like magnex or scorpion, and as said, get a manifold if your budget allows.

Magnex systems now re-circulate gases back & forth thru the silencers upto 3 times

they use to be a straight thru system, nowadays they aren't

I didn't know that!

Thinking about it, if its purely performance your after, get a BTB manifold and system (top end, top whack) or get a ashley one (budget, but built for performance)

Dont what ever you do get a magnex from halfords.... had to go back there 7 times to keep having it re-fitted, kept blowing from the manifold.

get the scorpion full system and try and get the de-cat.. (i carnt find one)
and then get a lexmaul s/s manifold. should all come to about £620 and you can expect about 10-12 BHP

My magnex gave me more power.

Magnex's are not know for their sound. They are know for a drone un de-acceleration, and power increases.

Wrong.

SBD sell BTB manifolds and they may have helped in the development, but they are not an exhaust manufacturer.
