Thing is, u hire brunters then u need to get all the equipment. Sod the feature, i reckon we should just all arrange to meet up on a certain "Run What U Brung" day at Pod and the race against whoever you want. Just for a laugh. I'd like to go up against another 2.0liter Corsa deffo If u go to Pod, count me in

I remember when I went to a RWYB day once in my old Corsa - 1.2 16v auto = VERY SLOW!!! A 1.0 12v manual Corsa beat me from standing start, but I slowly caught up with him and was soon ahead of him!

Thing is though daimo it's not too organised then, people won't know who their racing/what mods they've got etc. If there was enough people, split the cost for hire the place/equipment and it MIGHT not be too expensive, it's worth asking

Does it really matter on a r.w.y.b??? If everyone meets up at a certain time and parks up, everyone can go over who they fancy having a go up the strip with. And on a rwyb theres unlimited strip action so u can go up against everyone if u wanted.

Well everyone wants to run in classes, I don't see how this could be done at Santa Pod unless we had the place to ourselfs. Things would be unorganised and end up not happening. Upto people what they want I can't be arsed organising anything if it's gonna be pissed up and not worthwhile. If we're gonna do it, may as well do it properly anyway

Exactly, makes it more organised and a laugh. Would get all the times/top speeds written down properly then otherwise people will run down santa pod and bugger off before we get a list of times etc

Brunters is £500 to hire alone.

Plus timing kit, setting it up etc.

Its not quite as simple as u'd like im afraid

I still think the pods the easiest way by far. Doesn't matter if there are other cars there. Dont forget, it only taqkes 14-20 seconds to do a q-mile!!!

LAst rwyb i had about 13 runs. Could have had a lot more as well if i wanted too.

£500 isnt bad tho, im sure we cud get at least 50 of us, and i wudnt mind paying £10 for loads of 1/4mile runs. If we set a date far enough away for people to work around, and in the midlands so its accessable for most people, i think this could happen...

This is what i mean though. U need to transfer all of the equipment from one car to another each time. Also unless u get two sets of equipment u can only run 1 car at a time. DOnt forget the CvS day only had about 14 cars and it took us all day to do those few!!

At the pod, u line up, u race, u get ur times and speeds, you can compare, and its only £15.

Simple

Believe me, i agree that Brunters would be great for just us lot, but realistically it isn't going to happen. Im not being an old fart, jsut say im saying this from experience.

Pod is the easiest and cheapest option. Plus u can watch at the pod, u can only see from behined at brunters.

Oh, plus the fact that you will need tohire out brunters on a weekday and not a weekend!!!!!
