Alright folks, right i'm insured with liverpool vic for just under £1500 fully comp since the end of march, on a 1.4 spi corsa, which i'm happy with has i had 6 ponits on my lisence b4 i passed my test (feb 25), and all my mods are declared, and its a 1.4 for a first car and i was 18, i'm 19 now since the 22nd, but now i want more power!! and my car needs performance to go with its looks, has i been getting cut up by jeslous people in there cars, so i know alot of u here are insured with liverpool vic, but whats i'm asking is do liverpool vic insure cars with engines transplats? has i know a few of u here have 2.0l 16v engines, i just need to know because nows the time i'm goin to carry out this conversion...

I had to leave liverpool vic as they didn't like more than 10% bhp increase!
They might be ok with an engine transplant!
Im with HIC and are the 1st insurance ive been with that dont charge loads for mods!
All cosmetic changes are free! (Window tints, leather interior)
And if i increase the power by 50%, me insurance just goes up by 50%!
Why cant all insurance companies be like this?

HIC insure me for all mods present or future for £257FC, and my premium doesnt increase at all

liverpool vic now wont insure engine conversions on under 21's.

i dont think so they would'nt give me a quote on my 2.0l 16v

They said to me will cover it for a marginally higher premium (20 quid or so)

BUT i think if anything happens to the car its the book value, not agreed value...

they wouldnt give my mate a quote on a 1.4rt clio with a 1.8 16v engine, but they would insure him on a 1.816v standard. he is 21 they said its becasue 1. hes got no noclaims as been onhis parents insurance they also said no under 21s.

duno who I'm gona go wiv, but when i've got it in, i'll be 22
spec will be rebored C20XE to 2.1, piper cams, polished ported & flowed head, LSD, grp-A manifold & stainless exhaust
gona cost me a bomb!!
