It would if was of equal weight to you. Also, doesnt the fact that a 2.0 Turbo Corsa C present at PV show that it might be true?

still wuldnt be as quick look how much patrick spent on his and his was only milliseconds quicker if any quicker

[Edited on 27-05-2003 by Steve106GTi]

Yes but Patrick had a 1.6 tuned with Dbolocks gear and pooperchips? what do you expect? it wasnt properly setup and had massive fuelling problems. If i used a Velos torque tube setup on MBE management, i would win in a straight race against you.

I beleive its irmsher who have the 2.0 turbo corsa c at PV not vauxhall, which would indicate an aftermarket modification. I may be wrong.

peak at 6000RPM is shite. youve gotta hammer the engine to make it pull

mine peaks at 4000 RPM and thats a 1.4 so im pretty sure yours will peak before 6000 RPM

Yesh mine peaks at about 4k rpm. If yours peaks at 6k rpm, i can imagine doodling round town with about 50lb/ft torque, you couldnt pull a skin off a lepers back with that!

if it is a 2l turbo then surely the 1.8 sri will have to get a more powerful lump, bit of a jump between models, 125 - 202 bhp.

This guy didnt seem to be lying at all.....and the foto's we were developing at work for him definately seemed to back up the fact he worked their etc

they have put the GSi engine in the corsa for testing but I can't see it happening. far too much power in such a light FWD car

I reckon it will be a 1600 block turbo, I cant see a 2 litre turbo in a FWD car is something vauxhall should be realistically doing.

please do not speak such shite. you have no idea what the curve is like for the 1.6 16V PSA engine. although he quotes peak the torque before is also quite high.

mine peaks at 3000rpm at 160 odd and still have around 130lb ft by 6000rpm. my sporting has 90% of torwue from 2000 to 5000rpm. peak is at 4500rpm. it's all about the curve not the peak.

Look at Andy H's corsa. peaks at 145lbft but is flat from around 2500-7000rpm I think.

Its what i was told. The uk corsa GSi WILL HAVE the 2.0 turbo lump, Not the 1.6 turbo!! This guy really seemed to know his stuff, and their really wudnt have been any point in him lying....

I'm more interested in the 2.2 turbo vx220.....
