i have a gsi its curently running at 102 bhp at the wheels just been on the role and road how can i get it up to 130 bhp at the the wheels or even more power that 102 with out spending a mint on it i was thinking of a chip

well for it to have 102bhp at the wheels then something has been done to it!!!

Yes that is probably the figure at the flywheel, so its running a bit low, or the RR is not accurate. If you just bought it, give it an oil and filter change. Also check the plugs and leads. What year is the car?

Standard, they either develop 106 or 109 BHP, depending on the engine, which is why i would like to know the year of the car.

Why is torque qoute in lb/ft? as an engineer i always qoute it as Nm (newton meters) I't like saying i wanna buy sumthing with shillings and pence

its just the car industry still using metric measurements for everything. Give me a figure in Nm and i have to convert that to lb/ft before it means anything to me.

in europe they use Nm, just in uk were different lol

to get 130bhp from a gsi, id say manzal power box or velos tourqe tube and a uni chip, that should see over 130 infact

THE NON ECO ENGINES ARE 107BHP AND THE ECO ARE104 BHP

bit more than that, non-eco is 109, eco is 106

go to the velos web site on www.vmotorsport.fsnet.co.uk they do the tube and uni chip in a package

I have seen the torque tube give 21bhp extra at the wheels!
Engine wasn't standard though!
Should give 20bhp at fly extra though!
There plenum and unichip gave me +31bhp at wheels on their rollers!

iv got a velos torque tube...cost £285

and about £160 to fit (well thats wat they charge, and that wat rally tec charged me)

and get a chip, and as someone above said ur gsi should see about 130bhp from that. also get a full exaust system and an induction kit.
