As above, my Scirocco R is due in a few weeks and best price so far is £600.

I'm 28 with one SP30 and 7yncb.
Wife is 28 with one fault claim from June 2013.

Rung Brentacre and Sky insurance who both said they can't insure it. Brentacre said they couldn't insure is anywhere in Leeds cause its standard

Tried Aviva, admiral, direct line, all the usual compare sites. Tesco quoted £2200

Anyone else I can try.

Aviva were far cheaper than comparison sites for my Octavia VRS.

That quote of £600 doesn't sound bad with your ages/history? The R's get nicked a lot don't they?

I'd agree £600 seems pretty good.

I'm paying £550 for me and other half on my TT with 12 years NCB, no accidents and no points and I'm 34

I hope not

Hoping they aren't as desirable as the Golf R.

Yeah I think £600 is reasonable, Megane 225 was going to be £450 for renewal. Just thought id see if anyone could beat it first.

Chris Knott still been best for me. Just rung and checked price as was over 30 days ago I got a price and its still same at £590 so think that's best im going to get. As said considering age/car and the fact the Mrs has a fault claim I don't think its too bad.

Brentacre for me on the M235i with a modified car policy so I can do what I like with the car at no extra cost.
I'm 26, claims protected etc and I pay £700 something.

They insured me because I had an existing policy, usually you have to own the car 3year before they'll touch you

For standard cars I find Aviva the best.

For modified cars I find Greenlight the best.

For example most places quoted £500+ for my MCS... Aviva quoted £275 and Greenlight £360.

Tried adding a parent as a named driver? My Boxster was only £400. I was the main driver with the wife and mother as named drivers. I'm 31 with full NCB. Pretty sure without my mother as a named driver it was almost twice as much.

That's with Admiral.
