Nope.

We work with housebuilders, usually as land owner/developer and undertake a joint venture with the housebuilders.

What is the name of your company? I am going to reject the house based on your information, and wish to pass your comments on to Persimmon citing reason for this.

Thank you for your time thus far, it will save us a lot of heartache in the long run.

When I looked at houses I looked at persimmon and the posh Charles church version of persimmon. They were dreadful inside and out. Just pulling up to the house and my van was the exact same width as the drive, so you couldn't walk on it as well as being parked on it. The drive was also shorter than my van. Please note my van is not any longer or wider than the average saloon car. decided against it before I'd even looked inside.

Also the plans, there is fine print somewhere, they build within 10% of the plans. Usually smaller. Much smaller.

If Steve is happy with his purchase why can't everyone be pleased for him

If buying something for 250k I assume Steve has done his research and happy to commit

I suppose there are good and bad stories of every house builder as they are like any business - make the most profit meaning they try and reduce costs somewhere

Generally quite happy wih my experience with Charles Church (Persimmon) so far.

Aftersales have been good, property is fine, snagging being dealt with as needed.

Still, Corsasport experts say it is shit. Oh well.

But they keep you updated on after sales issues?

Tbf your reasons will apply to any house builder. I wouldn't expect every new build to be problem free but for the money you're paying you should expect it to be problem free. The reason why I wouldn't buy a new build, especially from the large developers who are mainly profit driven.

i've worked on new build and seen the roughness first hand. Just full of lads on a shit price chucking it in to make a wage.

The NHBC check them but the standard required by them isnt the best imo.

Surely if they are paying someone to paint the skirting boards it should be a glass finish?

At least with a new build you don't have to put right the bodge jobs completed by the previous owners. The guy who lived here before me clearly thought he was Billy big bollocks.

What kind of pikey bastard removes shelving and a mirror from tiled bathroom walls, leaving holes all over the place?

If the people of cs were actual experts in their field they like to spam about, they could probably spend their time doing the job than researching other people's lives, thus earning enough money to not be jealous of others so no need to spam. But then the Internet would collapse.

I think it's a dick size thing. Some people have massive cocks some people have tiny ones and the ones with tiny ones tend to be angry people

I call it little man syndrome.

It's like when little dogs make loads of noise whereas the big dogs just go about their day in a sombre manner.

Looks decent that Steve. Expensive business buying things for the place but hugely rewarding.

Enjoy it! Make sure all the snags are done before completion. Also get the cracks that appear in the plaster etc whilst it settles and dries out before the 2 year snag warranty ends.
