Items to be kept, or not kept in a fridge.

Cheese
Vegetables
Salad items
Fruit
Yogurts
Jams
Sauces like ketchup

My understanding is if you buy it from a chiller cabinet in a supermarket it needs stored in a fridge.

Cheese does, although ideally it should be served at room temp, but I wouldn't be doing that too many times with the same block.

Veg doesn't have to but doing so will lengthen freshness. Same with Salad items and fruit.

Yoghurts do. All dairy does tbh. Back in the day they used to leave butter out but again, I wouldn't advise.

Jams do once opened.

Ketchup should be once opened, although doubt it wold do any harm if not.

I'm always sceptical about restaurants who leave mayo bottles out. Raw egg. Not cool.

As for Sunny D. There's so much sugar in it I doubt anything will touch it.

I didn't keep jam in the fridge over Christmas and it went moldy learnt that lesson.

Ketchup and BBQ sauce goes in the cupboard though, kind of annoys me when it's cold.

eggs should be fridge if you want to keep them till use by date otherwise it's just a few days. reason they aren't refrigerated in supermarkets is because the shell is porous and taking them from cold to warm environments will cause condensation on the shell and they'll absorb bacteria from outside the shell.

Most things will keep longer in a fridge as the lower temp reduces the time it takes bacteria to breed.

tomatoes will stay fresher out the fridge than in.

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

On the front of the box of eggs in my fridge it recommends to keep them in there.

I keep cheese in the fridge, it can get abit sweaty left out.

Mayo is normally pasturised so the egg thing becomes less of a problem doesnt it?

Most fruits go in the fridge in our house to make it stay fresh longer, exception is bananas that need to stay out.

Ketchup etc goes in our fridge, warm ketchup goes too runny imo so i think they're up to personal preference.

Thought it was quite rare that proper mayo is used anyway.
