Repercussions from what?

That sort of complaint will be laughed about,..."oh I had a dash cam on and saw your mechanic bump something with my car, there is no damage and no harm done but I would like you to do something"

I can guarantee you, that the only thing the service manager would say to the mechanic is that the customer is a bellend, end of.

Depends on the employee. Honest genuine mistake then yes. If the employee is only there for the money and doesn't actually give a shit then no.

I call most of our customers bellends to be fair

The guy has not damaged your car, get over it. It's a car, it will get damaged!

Think this post summarises who'd be more likely to claim for false whiplash in an accident.

I dont know whats worse. Complaining about the lack of damage or taking the time out your day to watch dash cam footage of your car in the dealers.

I farted in a customers car today whilst driving it onto the ramp, can't wait for the repercussions that come with it.

You should be sacked, your car crushed and your house set on fire. You should have to flee to Syria for a chance to continue living

That would have been a more entertaining customers car video than nothing happening.

To be honest, I'd be annoyed if someone bumped my car while it was in for a service. Regardless of whether it's an old banger or a brand new car, if this lad has bumped one, the chances are he's bumped tens of customers cars.
Yes, it was obviously a mistake and if no damage was done, there's no need for 'compensation', however, for the sake of a phone call, it's worth letting the manager know. If he offers a discounted next service, win. Equally, if he's arsey about it, you haven't lost anything.
I think most people on here would be equally as annoyed as Stubs if it happened us and if we try to make out we wouldn't be, we're only kidding ourselves.

Hopefully you don't need to make a mistake ten times to learn a lesson. I bet this mechanic doesn't either. Assuming he's done it to tens of customer cars is quite a big assumption based on a single incident.

To what end? What is the purpose of calling the manager?

Absolutely. The thing is, most of us would live in blissful ignorance in stead of going searching for something to be annoyed about, or in worst case shrug of the annoyance, as literally nothing has happened from the mistake.
