Personally I prefer going out of season (April->May, Sept->Oct) that way you still have decent weather but most places are so much quieter.

Just got back from a 3 day stag in Latvia. Got 3 days stag in Maga. Probably head away to the ring in Sept and may go away towards end of the year for a long weekend. So no holiday this year as per, wish I was though! Could murder a few weeks in middle east and Asia.
