Wondering if any of you audio experts could help identify this connector for me so I can try and replace it.

It's an old system, maybe 15 years old but it's only going in my garage but would like to attach the sub!

Nah, its not unique. Not sure what its called, but I have seen it elsewhere. Not possible to tell from the photo, but is one of the connectors square, and one D shaped?

Its likely to be an AMP connector. Should be first image.

It's a two pin Molex connector - couldn't tell you the size off the top of my head. Used to use them for 12v power supplies on something I used to work on. You can get them from Farnell or RS, though you might have to buy a few! Ebay is a good option when you want singles of things though.

Meant to update this yesterday, was all a bit academic in the end as the current one will just not budge, no way to get it out.

Ended up soldering it up, perfect now

Sure that's the same as you get on Tamiya RC cars as well, fairly generic thing.

Obviously doesn't help you if the previous one has been on fire

Tamiya ones the release clip is on the top side of the plug

No, it's less and half the size of a Tamiya one, looks bigger in the picture.

Tamiya do mini ones too, however as said the clip is wrong anyway
