No idea mate! There is no top* end damage, it has a regal inlet cam, and a x20xev exhaust cam, a fresh set of lifters up top, no case damage, all damage is in the bottom end. I reckon I could still get £600ish for it. I know a few companies that buy them to rebuild them.

Astra 888 Alcon 4 Pots mate. Can't find pads for them anywhere.  Only place I know is Ears Motorsport but they're £200.

Tried them direct? A mate didn't have a good experience with EARS recently.

Trident Motorsport silverstone give them a call regarding pads mate should be sub £150 according to my mate who's got same brakes asked him today where he gets pads from

What bad news luke ! sorry to hear about the engine going pop. If you tried to get vauxhall to pay for an engine they would just send your ecu off and decline the claim.
On another note at least youve got a good case agains the garage you bought it from chin up pal
