Rich Arab thinks 'I didn't manage to get an F1 last time, but I'd love one to go with my P1 and my collection etc etc etc - I'm not normally one who thinks 'a good time to sell' or 'a bad time to sell' because at the end of the day it's an F1. The times these come up for sale is so stupidly rare it really is.

Frankly it looked pretty vile. Same sort of colour as a base model 1.8 CVH Sierra minicab.

Might as well have ordered it in beige or shocking pink

Either of those colours would suffice.

I'd have it if it was painted with a thousand airbrushed turds.

I'm inclined to agree Robin.

They were born to be silver though and i'd have mine in that, or possibly the metallic black with the red strip.

I'd prefer the orange short tail GTR though if i'm honest.

That said, my 12th scale one is dark metallic blue and looks lovely

Silver or black. How very imaginative of you. Zzzzzzzzzz.

I'd have one even if it was pink with giant primary school book cocks on the side.

Snarky sarcasm will get you nowhere Ben and doesn't really apply in this case.

You could go to Savile Row and order a bespoke suit in bright yellow, but you probably wouldn't.

You don't have to be imaginative when ordering the colour of your brand new car. Originality isn't a watchword for class, good taste or common sense.

Gordon Murray designed the car with silver in mind as it best demonstrates the beautiful lines of the car.

Also, silver lends the shape some weight and tends to give the car even more gravitas, where possible.

Black just looks smart, mean and quite cool on most cars.

Plus the original press photos and promo materials were of Silver, white and metallic black with red strip.

This was when I fell in love with the car and so associate these colours most of all with it. I'm not too keen on the white, but i'd choose that over blood-clot chocolate.

If i'd been in the position to spend £630k+ on a brand new car twenty years ago, i'd have been ordering it in an appropriate and flattering colour.

Definitely Funds allowing, i'd be doing the same. Wouldn't be able to keep my mitts off it.

Which to me is what makes it all the odder that he's flogging her Mr 6.

I think the article i read about is a bit misleading, yes its a car you can put a kid and a suitcase in and drive to dover, but you won't be doing 240mph at any point on that trip Doubt you would go over 100mph very often.

I can do all that in a 1.3 fiesta.

not really lucky, its the same for any land.
Without planning permission it would still be worth £15k
