has anyone used/had any experience of them?

Thinking I'd fit a set to my car and was looking at the basic ones where you drill the holes but seen these which gives the look that nothing is there.

Here is a link to them

Never understood need for these.

I've never sat there and thought "wish I had sensors on the back to help me do this"

Was looking through at General crap on eBay and they popped up, just wandering if they were any good.

Way I see it, it's a simple thing that makes life a little easier, then why not!

Can you see the very back/front of your car from the drivers seat?

Some cars have overhangs which you can't see.

You don't need power steering, electric windows, air con, cd/mp3, Bluetooth etc. but when you are used to driving a car with them, you miss them when you drive one that doesn't.

I can't see the very front or back, but I know the size of the car.

Managed fine without them for this long

Same here, but last week I had to reverse park in the tiniest gap ever in work and ended up about an inch away from a concrete bollard after doing an Austin powers style manouever.

Would've been much much easier with the sensors. My dads kuga has them with the screen on the dash. Makes parking a doddle and allows you to squeeze into small gaps without worry.

Any parking aid is useful if you drive something bigger than a Corsa IMO, especially in a salon style car where you can't see the end of the boot. My Alfa and the gayus have reversing cameras which are useful and the SLK has sensors who are very very good.

what cars do you drive?

knowing the size of your car is fine if you have a corsa. but when you start to drive bigger cars its not as easy to judge. I cannot see anything out of my rear window

I got them fitted front and rear on the pikey wagon as it's simply to big to judge distances especially when I'm near blind in one eye.

I should add I have proper ones fitted, the ones you have linked are shit and are hit and miss at best (pun definitely intended!) I wouldn't even bother wasting your time or money.

Toyota auris
Bmw z3
Vauxhall Corsa c

Have also parked other cars regular for those at work
Fiesta finesse
Fiat 500
Clk merc
And some old massive Volvo
Mates mr2
That's without having a go of mates cars now and again and parking them up after use. Round here parking is terrible, so often small spaces

Wuite deent range imo, but hey! I'm sure there's bigger cars out there so my opinion is invalid
