Got this last week, only been waiting since October last year Still setting up the suspension and what not and cursing the 34t front cog. It's okay if you're at Nic Barnes level but fooking harsh if you're a fat feck like me!

I think we're off to Gisburn next week too!

It's a strive al 7.0 race. I couldn't buy the parts for what I paid for the bike so I thought fuck it, I'll buy one and if it's shit I'll chuck the bits on a different frame. But even though I've only been out properly once and I'm still getting my head round the suspension (and the shockingly high gearing) I've had a couple of pb's without really trying. So as the saying goes so far so good.

I would say though that I wouldn't have been happy if I'd picked it up from a shop in the state it came. I've had to do a lot of work on setting up brakes, gears, shape shifter, etc etc. If I'd got it from a shop in that state of setup I would've told them to keep it!

Jumbo thats very nice. I look forward to hearing how you get on with it. I was close to chopping my Nomad in and buying a Canyon Strive CF frame last year. They look long, low and slack. Bet its a proper bomber.

Lol, used to that autocorrect fail! Yeah I'd have the cf but can't afford it. But the numbers and angles look good on paper.

I was looking at modraker dunes and foxys and to be honest my plan always was to swap the frame out if it's a fail. But we'll see.

Enjoy gisburn. Hope line and hully gully are amazing lol...

Them Saviles (my mate had a Mondraker Summum and I nicknamed it the Savile (Mongraper)) have a terrible reputation for eating bearings. My mate was always replacing them in his DHer.

I will report back on Gisburn tomorrow, looking forward to it.

Yeah they are known for bad service and poor build quality but hope you enjoy it for a couple of months first.

Ps, 36t up front is where it's at.

Barnes you keep saying about this poor build quality and bad service but I never see anything on the forums I use and first hand I couldn't knock the service I received tbh.

Cant say I have had an issue with the service from Canyon and any issue with my bike in the year I have had it.
