Started the new year off with a wet and windy 50 with the club = flat as a pancake but 30 miles was into a fierce headwind - pretty ruined now

Any of you guys been to Dalby Forest before? Having a trip down on Sunday morning with the lads, just looking at the red route and it seems to be a fair old slog at 21 miles.

52 miles today in stunning weather ... 100 miles up for 2015. I really hope we get a mild winter and nice spring ...need to seriously knuckle down for coast to coast in a day 2015 and it much nicer when the weather is like today.

Did get over taken by a herd of deers and stags though - pretty sure they were on EPO

I'm busy saving for a road bike which I'll post a pic of in here once I get it. I've never been on a road bike so it could be interesting.

I was out on the mountain bike last week which was cold, muddy and fun. I might get out on it again on Sunday.

Has anybody used one of these?

I need to start going out more in the evening, it's mostly off road so I need lots of light.

Got a Thule G6 929 with the 4th bike adapter tried it on. Had to clean all the grease and paint off the tow ball. I also had to "mod" the socket mounting plate to be able to plug the lights in as it's right behind the carrier which seams a daft design flaw...

Easier than trying to put the fuckers on the roof!

I did a fair whack of research before hand, and I've bowed down to the "you get what you pay for" train of thought. I need to be able to carry four bikes safely, be it me and the family or me and the boys. Plus some of my mates have wanker money bikes so I got a proper one lol...

I was going to get a Witter but read quite a bit about them being a bit harder to load up. But as you say it is kind of down to the shape of the bikes. I know you can get different shaped bars etc but it starts getting to the point of how much do you care about taking a mate in your car or them taking there own!

First ride of 2015 was 18 miles and 2995ft of climbs. My legs are fucked. Getting fit again is really going to suck.
