Just bought a brake setup and thought I'd give it a clean and a lick of hammerite before I put them on.

Am I right in that it goes:

Clean brakes with a wire brush and something like STP Brake Cleaner

Paint callipers with hammerite

Apply copper grease after to stop seizing

I wouldn't paint 'em with Hammerite, get some caliper paint.

Why not? To do with heat resistance?

Do I need to apply copper grease after? or will it be fine as I'm painting the callipers off my car and they're being fitted during a service
