Bought another GSI steering wheel, thought it was marginally in better condition than the one I had.

Took my newly refurbished alloys back off the car and left it on axle stands again...

Noticed when I fitted them, the refurbisher had done the barrels shadow chrome aswell, whereas they were black before.

This meant I had 2 wheels with black barrels and 2 with shadow chrome barrels. Wasn't going to bother taking it back but I paid a fairly hefty price to get 2 alloys refurbished back to how they were and they haven't been done correctly, so had a change of heart and will be taking them back tomorrow.

I can't believe they even let me have them like that as they fitted tyres to all 4 wheels, so must have noticed the difference. I didn't look at the backs as I only lightly kerbed the front faces, so assumed they wouldn't have re-done the barrels.

Got other door card on, and the new speakers in both front doors now. Much better than orange ones!!

Also, clutch is fucked and barely pulls when cold, have to rev until about 5k to get it moving. Taking to a garage to fit tomorrow.

Love that steering wheel

I finally.got my wheels back, coated in Gtechniq C5 and fitted. So glad to have my own car back now.

Vredestein Vorti's are also much better tyres than my previous Hankook S1 evo 2's. So much grip!

The Hankooks were ok, but I always felt there was a lot of lateral movement in them. It almost felt like the sidewall was very soft and caused the ride to feel a bit 'wallowy' down B roads.

So far on the Vorti's, the ride feels nice and firm and is confidence inspiring around country road bends. Imo, these are much better.

Looking a bit thin there

The material on those friction disks is so bloody itchy! Hate it when I'm on clutch fit in work.

Soon as scrapman collects it I'll no longer have to deal with 75% of people involved with them being idiots
