This.

Also, Black Drums + Silver Calipers. Get rid of the Red.

Looks lovely, may favourite colour for a Nova GSi / Astra GTE too.

Did a couple of little bits to it today;

Painted my drums black

Painted the calipers silver

The previous owners dad sprayed his garden fence next to the car so it had little brown dots all over the drivers side, took me about an hour to get them all off!

Then as it will be off the road for a few months now I put it on some steels, and also gave it a polish.

Finally some updates;

Been quite busy this week getting welding done, changing a few bits

Start the cringing, front panel had seen better days!

As we didn't have a replacement panel, we just repaired the original

Some welding

After it was all cleaned up and painted

As you can tell from the last pic we also removed the engine

Its home for a few days

Can't really see in this pic, but it was mainly removed to fix this crack/rust

Welded and cleaned

This patch was also welded but no after pic as of yet

While the anti-roll bar was off, thought I may aswell clean it up and paint it

The colour won't be to everyones taste, but had the paint and it matches the petrol tank so

While the engine was out, we changed the cambelt, water pump, and clutch! Also steam cleaned the engine and painted the block

Nice and new

Old vs new

Front end fitted

Engine back in, wired up and running nice and smooth!

Anti-roll bar back on

More updates to come during the week!

Cheers mate!

A couple more updates today

was the usual patch of rust in the battery tray so, cut out;

and underneath in the footwell

After;

Exhaust fitted

Then, the part I wasn't looking forward to was looking underneath the sideskirts

Quite bad, but will be sorted this weekend..

A patch in the passenger rear arch

Also lowered it 60mm and put the 3 spokes back on..

More to come

The plan was speedlines mate, but had em before and pretty bored of em, so for now just getting two more centre caps for these and keeping them..

Finished everything off today!

Forgot to get pictures of the drivers side sill but passenger side after welding;

The sideskirts were colour coded badly so while they were off I steam cleaned the paint off so now there back to standard black

Before

After

And some proper pics of the car now its lowered and all back together

And one with the astra
