This year will be my 12th trip to Florida since 1990.

Disney will be great for kids, never really visit Disney anymore.

Universal / Islands of Adventure / Sea World / Aquatica / Busch Gardens

Then got all small places to visit dotted around.

Old Town for car cruises, shopping malls for bargains.

So many places to eat etc.

Is that nailed on for that week? Missus will be chuffed if so, we were nervous about it getting pushed back to autumn etc.

Nothing nailed on yet but sounds like 21st / 22nd that weekend.

I'm going in October again for Horror Nights best time of year.

When we went, we got delayed because my little brother was born, but turned out to be a blessing anyway, as we went end of sept/oct in the end, was still 25+ every day, but a hell of a lot better than 30+ during the summer, and wasn't anywhere near as busy as i'd imagined

It seems my Disney fastpass advice is out of date, you can now book (3 per day) then before you even fly out

https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/plan/my-disney-experience/fastpass-plus/

Seems like a good idea, with this I would probably book stuff for later in the day (10-11am onwards) and just focus the morning on hunting out "walk-ons".

Aye, if you used up your allowance in the morning and got there for ropedrop (which you should, jetlag means you'll be up at 4-5am every morning for the first few days ) you might find that you're walking onto rides with your fastpass which had minimal queue anyway!

Midday is normally a "no-go" for rides, so having a fastpass for those times would be ideal.

Toy Story was manic in 2012 when we went.

I've also landed some proper flukes on rides because they closed. MK logflume queue was 30-40mins all morning once, then it broke. 25mins or so later we were just walking past it as it opened - so walked right on, queue was up to 25mins when we got off

I've seen rides of 2hrs, but I've NEVER queued that long and I've always been in school holidays. Longest I've queued was probably Sheikrah at Busch Gardens at about 80mins, but that kept closing due to a thunderstorm 5 miles away.

Also we do single-rider a lot too, normally really quick queues and get on together most of the time
