Can't find a thread.

Watched First Class again the other night and I'm still baffled why there was no Cyclops or Jean Grey. Just looked on IMDB and it says Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast (Kelsey Grammar) all feature

Prety frickin' excited by this now, especially as they are doing the time travel storey line. Missed a trick not having Cable in it though.

Where did you get that? Of those three only Jean Grey is set to make an appearance, and that in an uncredited role. Probably it'll be a dream/flashback like in Wolverine or it'll (I'm betting on this) be a post-credit scene. Nothing more than a cameo in any case.

In fact, I don't expect many of the old crew to have anything but very minor roles (except for Wolverine, of course). The next instalment, X-Men: Apocalypse, is going to be about the Fist Class characters as well.

I appreciate Wikipedia isn't the best source however the film page does say that Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast (Kelsey Grammar) will all have small/cameo roles, also read that the Cyclops and Jean Grey roles will be reprised for Apocalypse, played by younger actors as it will be set in the 80s.

Missed James Marsden, but Kelsey Grammar isn't listed?

I think James Marsden messed up big time sacking off a prominant role in TLS for Superman too. Wasn't even a good part he had in it.

In the future scenes he will have the adamantium claws again, probably due to Magneto somehow giving them back to him, but in the past he didnt have adamantium in his body at that point, it was before the weapon x procedure in X-Men Origins

It's really good.

Very much a First Class sequel. The older mutants are only very minor supporting characters.

Apocalypse, oldest living mutant and future villain for the next film. Basically he has all the skills of every mutant, more or less.
He's the villain in the next film, which is named after him as well.

Worst post credit scene in a Marvel film so far, imo.

That scene was so fooking good!!!!! loved it!!!

I'm not a Marv2l fan, to be honest it pisses me off that there are so bloody many of them being put on the big screen. I didnt really rate X Men, and was dragged to watch Days of Future Past tonight.

I have to say, it was a damn good film and I really enjoyed it

To add, I think the 'Future' story line would have made a very good movie. I liked the dark side and I also prefer Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen to the 'younger' cast. I think thats the main negative of the film

In all, pleasantly surprised how good it was

8.5/10
