Am I the only one who thinks that tactically, England have been pretty pish? Seems to have been a huge gulf between defense (plus Henderson and Gerrard), and the four attackers. No cohesion at all really.

He plays that role well when he has excellent movement in front of him. He doesn't have that here. The man who has peeled away and scored twice is on the opposite team.

Of course. Not only do we not have the huge amount of individual quality, but this is just a 'jumbled' team. As soon as 'the next best thing' comes along (even if they aren't the next best thing) they get shoved in the fold right away... Just don't know if that's a good thing unless your name is Messi.
