It's not slow either, mine made 185bhp standard and it's a 197 but then I think mines a fast one as it dispatches Corsa VXRs with ease

I'm quite surprised that anyone would still take a manufacturer's power figures literally.

Especially as most are now quoted in PS rather than bhp.

Quite heavy aren't they? for a 'hot hatch' anyway. Suppose that's the way all new cars go. Heavier and less power.

It's a 6-7sec hatchback. If you have to ponder the appeal of such a thing with pub figures I suggest you just sell it and buy something powerful turbo that under steers
