A plane hitting the water at speed would be torn apart leaving a debris trail, foam insulation, plastic, luggage etc. If the plane hit the water slow enough from 35,000 feet to have not been torn apart on impact, surely the aircraft would have had time to transmit a mayday signal?

Watching that program you dont realise how many planes have actually crashed and some crashes are mental

They always get the answer though.

What I find amazing is things like

"plane crashes at bottom of ocean, pull as many parts out as possible, rebuild plane in a hanger in mid air, find the smallest of issues (i.e an electrical short) which has led to other things causing a plane to crash"

Good program, beats fucking towie or chelsea shit for sure

Seems a bit weird the passports and they also say the aircraft turned and started heading back to bejing.

Stinks of another 9/11 style attempt to me.

There was also a mass stabbing attack in China at a railway station last week, could be linked to an terror campaign in China as the plane had most Chinese on.

It depends what religion they were targetting as Malaysia is well over half a Muslim country, which would surely rule out Muslim sympathisers?

Looks like the ADS-B was only sending out data every minute or so and the last contact was at 35,000. That is a huge area to cover. A potential 2 minutes of flight at 500mph thats almost a 4,000 mile square area.

What's all this about it turning around? Just came up on news with "more to follow" but they never said anything else. If it turned around but didn't make a mayday call then that is very odd! The were a couple hours into the flight so not like they were heading back for the runway.

surely it either did or didn't. Don't quire understand all the 'might' 'suggests' etc in the press. Either the radar showed it turned around or it didn't.

Imagine if the plane just reappeared as if nothing had happened and everyone on board is unaware also. As if they'd been in a coma and lost x number of days of their life.

Now that would be interesting.

Does that just happen in films?

That's awful karma for the people using stolen passports!
