Have I missed something here, I've never really understood why Wenger gets so much credit from Arsenal fans for "building the stadium"
Unless he was there laying bricks or stumped up the cash himself I don't see how he built anything TBH

Wilshere, Walcott (slightly debateable, admittedly), Sagna, Koscielny, Szcz is well on his way (best keeper in the Prem by far this season) as well asnthe ones whove come and gone... RVP, Cesc, Clichy (at one point) + numerous others etc etc

Sagna & Koscielny are not even close to world class.
Wilshere isn't yet world class, very hot and cold!
Walcott as you say debatable

And the ones who truly are world class you sell?

Koscielny and Kompany are the 2 best defenders in the PL by some considerble distance Mertesacker is up there too, one game does not make players bad... check the stats. Sagna has been the best RB in the PL for donkeys years, only Zabaleta and Ivanovic come close. Wilshere on his day is certainyl world class, rememebr he is still comign back to full strength etc afetr 2 years out.

we have had to sell players previously due to the stradium but we wouldnyt have to do that now

Zabaleta is a far better RB than Sagna He was the best for a while, but certainly not now. I wouldn't say Kosc is top two either. He has been excellent alongside Mertesacker but I can't help think he wouldn't be as effective without him. I'd have Vertonghen long before Kosc.
For me, world class players are those that could walk in to any team on earth. Ozil is one such player. Can't say the same for the rest.

Agree with your defn, disagree re. Kos, though they are superb as a pairing.
