So for various reasons this job has spilled into being split over a few weekends, but finally fitted my oil pressure gauge today

Some of the stuff, VDO gauge and sender

The original oil pressure switch

Had to extend the oem sensor loom

New stuff in situ, T piece, vdo sender and new pressure switch. Thread is m10x1 if anyone wants to know

Sorted out all the feeds I needed

Gauge in and working

I didnt put it in to look "cool" you weirdos

Its there to tell me my oil pressure, and oddly it does that perfectly. I know its hard to comprehend that someone has fitted a gauge to serve a purpose rather than impress my internet mates.

Also as its inside a defender, everything already looks gash

Does it have any oil pressure warning as standard? Corrado has a buzzer apparently.

I notice you don't haveba Rev counter?

You need this as it is performing a function and not to look cool.

If I was an idiot that couldn't tell when my vehicle was being revved too high then yes I would have no problem fitting that or any other rev counter.

Should have fit a guage pod in the dash rather than have that thing stuck on top

So does fitting an oil pressure gauge make you more of an idiot that can't tell when oil pressure is low after the light comes on?

Why the need for the gauge anyway? Are the bad for losing oil pressure?

Considering the attention to detail that went into that Puma you had, that looks properly half arsed. Sort it out For something that comes apart as easy as the Defender, should be easy to make it look half decent.

Could you not have replaced the clock on the dash and shoehorned the pressure gauge into that space? Would have looked 'OEM' rather than the current eyesore.
