Does it feel like a nightclub with all the black? Been thinking of doing the roof lining black on my corrado vr6 with schimmel cams. But looks like quite a difference from pics I've seen.

Not bad at all.

What's your opinion on 110's? How are you supposed to know what anything is worth? They seem to be advertised and sell for wildly varying amounts.

Best thing I found was when you know how much you're spending look at the newest you can get. Then when you've filtered out that, the next key point is the state of the chassis and bulkhead if that looks solid it would be a worthwhile purchase.

I know iv modded mine somewhat but I found the best ones were the standard ones, they seem to be oddly cheaper too, lots of muppets out there who think because they've painted it with a paint brush it must be worth 10k

Dont be put off by tatty looking body panels. Everything is easily removed and bolted or riveted on.

Best way to test chassis is hit it with a hammer and screwdriver.

I'd say you should get a decent Condition circa 2000 which will be a td5 for about 5.5k look at 98 which is the last of the tdi300,for under 5k, can get decent for that

Anything close to here seems to be much more expensive than that.

There has been a 47k miles, 1 owner, standard 110 advertised for a while but he's wanting almost 7k for it, which I think is mental.

Prices are mad.

What you after a 110 ffor? Look a bit shit compared to the 90. Unless it's a double cab with pickup back.

Not after a 110, or even a defender specifically, I just like things like 1 owner and really low mileage on a 1996 car, and it's local.

I also wouldn't mind a RR classic but they are even harder to come by. I bought one unseen at an auction a couple of weeks ago but it's the worst car I've ever went to look at. No chance it should have had an MOT so managed to get my money back.

I'll be bored looking at them later and move onto something else.

Nope, this thread does nothing for my wanting of a Defender. That's looking really rather tidy that is Steve.
