Ferguson was the boss, the issues with ego and power-tripping Keane is alluding to is the reason why he was one of the best that has ever lived.

The ironic thing is Keane is an ego-maniac with a power trip as well, he SHOULD be a good boss. However, he wouldn't know a player if it smacked him in the face and his man management skills are absolutely dreadful.
