I think it was you who recommended it to me Fred, that's 4 years ago now. I know somebody who got married there in November as well and they loved it.

I'm in Riviera maya just now at the elDorado seaside suites. Booked a swim up jacuzzi junior suite and complimentary honeymoon package

Absolutely stunning place with loads to do, about 30 degrees every day although overcast and a few showers due to September being the wettest month here

All inclusive here is nothing like I have been to before, 7 restaurants on site mostly a la carte rather than buffet style, most drinks have been normal brands rather than local stuff

Not sure what you will get on your budget tbh, there will most likely be something in cancun but I would recommend 14 days as you will loose a good 2 days from flying, with flying we were on the 787 Dreamliner, even in economy there is loads of legroom and the inflight service is great

You dont actually lose 2 days because of the time zones. You fly backwards so only lose 4 hours in time? Think thats correct anyway?

Appears to be just 6 hrs difference, and looking at potential flights they work out just fine tbh.

Vegas was similar. We took off and almost landed at the same time locally, give or take an hour or two. Then we flew back Monday and landed Tuesday. So it was all good.

Should have worded that better tbh, between flights, customs, transfers checking in etc it felt like we lost a day but I suppose it will be different depending on when you are getting in/leaving, we arrived mid evening and leave in the afternoon

Those are from Gatwick. It must get taken into consideration by the airlines. Nobody really wants shit flights to the other side of the World.

I've just come back from Mexico, Riviera Maya.

Amazing place, 2 weeks, 5 star all inclusive, found the deal a year ago, £1000 each

So much to do there, with the trips etc.

7-8 restaurants, all stunning and high standards.

Flew from Manchester

Except with Thomson and not First Choice as Thomson only wanted £38 more for an extra night.
