i was goin towards a speed camera on the other side the road in a 30mph i was doin 50pmh i neva thought it cud catch u but it flashed twice?????? am i gona get a £60 fine soon???

i was goin towards it!!! i thought it cud only measure the speed if u went past it and it gets ur rear end! it flashed the front end, had lights on coz it was dark aswel, i dunno how its possible!

99% chance it just went off as u were goin so fast, but can't get you cos there was no lines on the road. Thats if it was a GATSO camera, which nearly all of them are. BUT theres a new type which can get u by flashin in ur face, can't remember what they are called, but these are very rare and new and chances are you're fine.

Has happened to me before. I werent speeding but it flashed as i went passed! Fcuking shat myself even though deep down i knew it werent me that was speeding.

Truvelo

The Truvelo Combi Smc camera system provides front or rear photography. The frontal picture provides a view of the driver and a clear secondary check.

Speed measurement is carried out using two independent pairs of sub-surface sensors. The system measures the time taken for the front axle to travel 1.5 metres and two sets of sensors provide two independent measurements. These signals are separately processed, if the speeds are not within 2 mph of each other they are discarded, otherwise the lower speed is used.

no 1 flash were dumby cameras but they now do 2 flashes. if it was a gatso then it just went off. truvelo's don;t flash because they do front pictures and flashes can distract the driver

is that right? i though 1 was to take a pic in a postition, and the 2nd to take another pic (i know it takes 2 pics) and it works out the didtance between pics and the time and works out ur speed

btw - any speeding offence 'earns' ya points - not just a fine
