No it won't fail. Also I'd be suprised if the fucker doing the test would even notice it. Watch out for the mouse though, cos then you will fail your MOT!

if i take the cold intake pipe of and had a quick drive round i would i notice any performance change. i figure that it could still do with the intake pipe connected.

Stick you head under the bonnet and slam it a few times and then get in your car and drive it fast in to a wall then you might have holes in you air box.....

all i have done is taken the cold air feed pipe off completly sounds good.

basicly if u want to drill the air box, just drill holes on the front and the left had side as u look at it( side next to wing). just dont drill holes above th filter, and just leave the air feed where they are at the mo.
i think bigger holes gives if more of a grunt and smaler hoes, gives it more of a raspy sound

I would agree...i got small holes on mine and its raspy...also beefed up my exhaust a tad!

i only revved it with the cold air feed off im gunna drill my box 2day 10 - 15 holes should do at m16 size.

do them about the size of a 1p piece for small holes and a raspy sound, and about 2p slightly bigger for big holes and deep sound

or have u drilled it, what does it sound like now?
if u do it wrong it will knacker your engine cos the BIT where the moving things are in the bonnet thing doesnt like bits of crap/dust etc when it is trying to move and stuff and then ignite the flammable stuff
