Last episode is not so great but a good scene setter for season 4 and everyone was featured (for once!)

I love Game of Thrones but it's very long winded. And annoying when you don't see certain characters for a couple of episodes. I need to see a big fight between the white walkers and everyone else

I was surprised the finale didn't show any of the castle black action from the books, there was no decent cliffhanger :/

Best thing is to record several and watch in one sitting. Keeps everything fresh things makes more sense. For me anyway!

That was a bit tame after last week. Even right at the end when Daenerys went in to the crowd of slaves I was half expecting them to tear her apart and eat her

Loved the scene last night where Joffrey was put in his place by Tywin.

Theon is being tortured by Ramsay Snow, a bastard of Roose Bolton, the guy who stabbed Robb Stark.

The Ironborn (Greyjoys - Theon) currently hold many cities of the North, burned down winterfell until the Boltons took it and captured Theon.
He will continue to be tortured until the Ironborn give back the cities of the North, he is their captive.

Bolton and the Frey's were allies with the Starks, but betrayed them and now are allied with the Llanisters.

They killed Robb Stark because he broke an oath as he was supposed to marry one of Frey's daughters, but in overall he wasn't a very good king and made a lot of mistakes, he lost the war by his own decisions.

Tyrion threatning Joffrey at the wedding and then again at the meeting of the Small Council have been a couple of the bigger highlights this season.

Also Lee, it sounds like you'd benefit from reading the books.
Currently half way in to the first and already I've had quite a few "oh, so THAT'S what was going on" moments.

The books are amazing. Read them a while ago. As expected a whole load missing from the tv series but you cant fit it all in. Books still aren't finished so much more could happen.

Massive anti-climax last episode, 1 interesting episode in full series, and I struggle to keep track of what is going off as well! Not another series for another year!

Just caught up, only started watching S1 in June when I bought the S1/2 boxset. Just finished S3 tonight and have to say we're both pretty impressed.

Penultimate episode was fucking brutal, we both stared at the telly with jaws to the floor for about 10mins afterwards and I spent the subsequent 24hours with my hand on my neck, I'm fine with most graphical stuff on screen but throat slitting just gets me all fuzzy
