Ah well, both made assumptions. I'd rather not deliberate over it through risk of sounding like I care I guess the long and short of it is it's fairly easy to do now with the right kit

Didn't know opcom did it either? Can it definitely change the mileage on a set of clocks in a car and not brand new ones?

Vagcom could definitely set the mileage on a new cluster with under 100 miles on it. I know tech2 (and probably opcom) can reset to 0 if it's under 100 miles. Always believed you needed more expensive equipment to do anything else.

Damn, deleted my post cause I wasn't sure about vagcom. Opcom i'm pretty sure you can however with the car pass.

Opcom deffo can, but iirc you need certain software. The Opcom you can buy today will probably have this most recent software, which will be adequate.

And yes you need the car pass.

That's mega dodgy then. Does that reset the one in the ECU as well? You can cross check on vagcom and tech2.

A well known garage that sells performance cars around my way has been clocking his cars for years and always seem's to get away with it even with the bad reputation he has for doing so.
