Front wheel hub. Where the upper wishbone connects. Its ripped the bolt out.

Sounds to me like you drove it each time and then didn't maintain it afterwards. Like regular cars, they require care and maintenance to keep them working as they should. Granted, nitro cars require a lot more care, but the idea is the same as a regular car. I assume that stuff "fell off" your car because you didn't take the time to check for loose screws after each run, which boils down to the attitude of "well, it should just work, shouldn't it?". The truth is that this level of maintenance is needed in order to get the best out of a nitro car, but it all depends on how much you care, or, as other would perhaps put it..."how much of a geek you are".

I enjoy the cleaning/maintaining part of the hobby as much as i do driving them to be honest.

I think i'll end up with a Baja one day, nearly bought the 5B SS, the one you build yourself, but its £750, and you have to buy the radio gear after that

I like those 1/10 Tamiya Electric RC cars. Not that expensive and when you get bored of it they look quite nice sat displayed on a shelf

I recently sold my 33cc fg marder as it was too big for what I wanted. Still have 2 thunder tiger eb4 with a .21 and .28 engine and a traxxas t maxx.

Yeah had hydro brakes, stopped like it hit a wall! The cable brakes are ok but a pain in the arse to get right. Hey either drag or don't work, so I'd go for hydro IMO. Another good mod Is a jetpro exhaust as it revs a lot better and goes quicker top end.

Mattie, what wheels are they on your marder? do they sell them as onroad and offroad versions?

I need to work my steering out, seems to hit the stop when turning one way, but not the other

yeah servo needs centreing to sort the steering. The wheels and tyres were from modelspot about 18 months ago and were on road cut slicks.
Westcoastmodels also have a great amount of spares and hop ups for the fg range
