so orignialy car was flashing eml light, so immobiliser was playing up, so onto opcom reset ecu and erased and reprogramed the key.so that was one problem sorted, no longer locking it out with the flashing em lightso onto the next problem, trying to start the car, it just turns over, wont fire.so far this is all i have

not too sure on what these are, as the immobiliser seems to be ok, the car has had its engine changed, x12xe to x12xe so i have 2 immobiliser rings and 2 ecusif anyone can help out this would be amazing

also had a look in the measuring blocks and the fuel pump relay is showing 12v inactive and 0v active when cranking.making me wonder if its crank sensoror is the immobilizer at fault,any help would be amazing, car needs to be mot'd and taxed soon so i can get the gsi off the road for the winter

also disconected the fuel lines to the rail and cranked it and no fuel coming through so definetly a problem with immobiliser or crank sensor

ordered a sensor its on route, but i doubt its that

really could do with some of you guys expertise on this one

I'd guess at it being Immobiliser from the - Immobiliser Wrong Signal(00) - Not presentP0505

Only a guess though.

if you changed the ecu, did you change the chip?

sounds like immobiliser fault to me

Im a bit confused.

Ive 2 ecus and 2 immobilizer ring things but 1 key.

So would they key have a chip in it?.

Ive got opcom and the pass code so could reprogram the key in theory??.

Anyone want to give a few pointers what to try?.

Key will have a chip in it yes.

You'll need the matching immobilizer ring and ECU

So if i open up the key. is there marking etc so i can match the ecu and immobiliser ring

No I don't think so, you will have to try both iirc
