My tiger motors have arrived!

280watts max per motor compared to 150watts for the standard dji ones, probs need the 10 inch props on to take most advantage of the extra torque

iv got a couple of 4s's to try out

these are recommended with 3 and 4s batterys, probs better with 3s on the larger props perhaps

They will turn slightly slower than the factory motors at the same voltage as they are 20kv lower speed.. Well worth running 4's and the big props but then you're going to start being on the limit of your ESC's and you most definitely don't want a brown out!

You're miss under-standing Steve motors don't max out, they are rated to a maximum load.. They will draw current until they burn out or the ESC fails.

Thats the maximum they are rated to run at..

The load is defined by a combination of prop-size, voltage and RPM..

Throw a 12 x 8 prop on those bad boys, run them on a 4 cell and you'll easily pull 40+ amps and the motor will go pop in a puff of blue smoke

pretty much, how fast it needs to turn to pull that amounts of voltage?

900kv will turn slower than 1100kv

Yeah, for every 1volt you provide it will spin at 900rpm with no load.
