You have a 2 wire temp sensor for engine management and then a single wire sensor for the dial I'm sure it's just to the right of the 2 wire sensor

That's what I changed. The single wire just clips onto the sensor. The two wire is like a plug yeah? I haven't changed that one yet, ill be doing that next.

i bought some 2litre brakes off simonATR as the bloke who did the conversion never upgraded the brakes.




wasnt sure if they would fit under the wheels but took the gamble anyway.

new 280mm meriva 4 stud disks.



put the wheel on to find they were slightly rubbing, so i got the balancing weights moved and started to skim off the calliper.




didnt have to take that much off and then repainted to check if it still rubbed which it didnt.






then worked my way onto looking at the squeeking from the rear. managed to sort that out too.

When u say 2-litre they they must be turbo 284mm ones not 2.0 256mm ones. Looking cool as under the wheels there matey!

yeah they are 288 ones, not the 256 off a vectra i believe

over the last couple of weeks we have just been collecting parts for it really. bled the blakes but they are incrediably spongy and pedal travel is insane. i've heard i need to change the brake servo as it cant cope with the bigger brakes. is that true?

been having some major headaches with fitting the seats too, so not too sure when they will be in the car.

bought an OMP subframe to help with fitting:


double slimline fans to keep it cool:


and a new air filter:


if anyone knows how to make the brakes more responsive and weather i have to change the brake servo / master cylinder etc.. let me know please

change the master cylinder and use braided brake lines mate i also swaped the fluid out for ap racing dot 5.1 fluid as i run the same breaks on my 1.6 8v turbo b but i also have rear disc's too

Mate your cailpers are upside down, the nipple should be at the top

Yeah I found that out last week, couldn't bleed them at all then realised why lol. Turned them round and now they work just aren't that good

Good work mate

Make sure you bolt that L piece down before driving it, they can jump off as I found out

most likely gonna put the carpet back in, keep getting the inside wet with our feet

thats a good idea bud have you or are you taking the sound deadening out before the carpet goes back in?

no im not, im just gonna go straight over it as it would be as a standard car. can't see it being beneficial enough to take it out
