Looking good! What turbo is it? Chinese jobby ? Have you measured the crank journals? If the bearings have picked up just fitting new ones won't necessarily do the trick if the crankshaft is no longer within tolerances especially if your running a bigger turbo the last thing you want is for it to spew a rod or something lol

Yeah sure is haha! Don't have the money for a garett and it's my first let so sure will do the job.

No I haven't measured them if I'm honest? What do you mean bearings have picked up?

When I took sump off before cylinder 2 and 3 rods rattled. But since I've fitted the new bearings they dont. So I prosumed that was it fixed.

Well basically if those 2 rods you mentioned could be moved by hand imagine how much movement it'll have at 800rpm and again how much at 6000rpm and so on, the bearings will show wear first as they are not as hard as the crank journals but the surface they are making contact with / rattling against could also be damaged it may not be as visible by eye as it is on the bearings ie scoring marks etc but to save putting it all in the car and then having problems I always get mine checked by a guy we use in work to check the journals are within tolerances and not worn down or the journals haven't become slightly oval etc, easily done with a micrometer only has to be a fraction of a mm out to cause damage, not trying to shit you up it could be ok as it is, but in our garage it's coon practise when noticing an issue with any bearings to check the crank for piece of mind

It's your call mate personally while it's not in the car I would have it checked but that's me, take a risk it could be fine on the other hand it may not , also did you put some engine oil or graphogen onto the new bearings? Helps them bed in and not pick up when first starting

Don't bin it it needs to be measured first it may not be too bad and you can get the crank ground and fit oversize bearings, if your cranks scored and you could wobble the rods by hand I'd say just fitting bearings will NOT be a permenant fix I'd get the crank out and get it looked at dude

getting a re grind will cost about £90 , you can buy decent condition cranks for £50 so it makes sense to get a new one

But it's not a "new" one is it it's who ever you buy its froms word that it's actually any good, I'd rather spend the extra and get my own re ground atleast then you know it's right , 90 quids a drop in the ocean I'm comparison to a bottom end or potential whole engine rebuild from buying a "yeah it's mint mate" used crank , but that's me balls in aidens court lol
