How much do you pay for your life insurance/mortgage cover?

We're currently paying £40...

It should be decreasing also seen as our mortgage is...

Just done a quick quote online... £7 Think we're getting spanked somehow...

I've been quoted 13 quid for both of us from our mortgage broker, not sure who the quote was with though, will ask the missus for the paperwork in the morning. Apparantly it depends on your families previous health as to what you will pay

£10 a month guaranteed to stay like that for the length of the policy

Its the critical illness that's the expensive bit normally.

We get life cover through work think its 4x salary (which is upped to 5x if you die on company time)

Think it was around another £30/pm for critical illness cover.

My one covers critical illness, was wondering why it was so much more expensive.

£52.50 for me and my brother (as hes on the mrotgage now) £25 a month is becuase hes in the armed forces (not that they provide any cover if hes injured at 'work') Was £30 a month for me and the ex misses. Thats based upon £175k and critical illness.

Get 4x my salary for life insurance with work but I have nothing to cover my mortgage in case of illness. What's a decent policy? Does it only pay for a certain amount of time?

I get the same but they (mortgage co) wouldnt accept that and the levels of cover my borther gets if hes injured or dies in service are massive.

Best read the T&C's, i have a disease which they wont cover as its pre-existing on this policy.

Would you not rather pay a small amount each month and have it paid for via insurance than have to use your "wealth"? Obviously if you die, you won't care, but it could help out the people around you, unless I'm missing something?
