Agreed mate. Looks fantastic now. The colour is awesome!. But if he's planning on putting it on the road. There will be a million stone chips all prone to rust in 12 months. And that will be a massive shame after all the hard work

I talked about that with great painter. He paints a lot of race rally touring cars and he said that is how he dose it and they don't have a problem. I took his word for it plus it looks better for a show finish witch is what I want

had my cage and wheels back for power coat and fitted the cage

my rose jointed arms and machined knuckles with bigger VW berings come

back on 4 wheels at last. still needs to be set up and tracked but you get the idea

Looks brilliant if your going to be moving it around a lot I would put a cv joint in the hubs to prevent damaging the bearings for now

so with having rose joint track rod ends and them being longer that standard track rod ends i was having lots of toe in and no more adjustment to track straight so today i sorted that

photo of the big toe in i had

i taped the track rod more

then i cut the track rod shorter

this is how much i cut off in total

thats better. may have to cut little more when i do the final tracking

sorry guys. not much of an update. due to loosing my job and other issues i havnt been able to do much on the car. but now back to full time work i can crack on.
only bits i have done is sort my coilover's out and get the car more of a derivable height and got my calipers on after a refurb.

the speedline wonts be staying for the shows. these are only normal road use.

but i have bought myself a new toy for the summer

it was nice to speak to ben at p.v also got time to speak to Steve boy slim about my engine. that will be getting sorted in the very near future. brake lines next then ready for engine. watch this space guys!!!
