Dunno how I've missed this thread before.

Whole car is awesome, focused, but finished nicely.

Just one thing though, Paint that steering rack!

Had a good few hours in the garage today, managed to get a majority of the fuel system done.

I just need a few more 90 degree fittings to finish, I thought I could do it with straight couplings but will look 100 times better with 90's, also need another 3metres of braided hose as typically I was about a metre maybe less short for the return and of course need to sort a main pump, still undecided on what to go for..

Anyway, some pics

Also got the bias valve in and brake lines semi done..

Will order the bits I need now, and hopefully have the fuel system and brake lines back in on Friday

Had a half day today so I thought I'd get over to the garage, then the mrs rang and said I had a few parcels, knew what they were so went and collected them first

First up was the fuel hose and fittings I needed to complete..

Then it was this parcel, which was very well wrapped and contained love, cheers Craig! X

1.5 turbo diesel inner cage, so I can still use pick up with an external pump.

So with the parcels opened, I cracked on with the fuel system..

And the rear brake lines..

Will get the fronts done on Friday and hopefully get them all bled up, and fit the 1.5 fuel cage and maybe even buy a main pump and get that fitted...

Okie dokes, time for an update

Finally got round to fitting the diesel inner cage and finishing the fuel system, span the cover round also so as the hoses are facing towards the setup..

With that done is was onto the electrics, first up was to sort the mess out on the left hand side of the bay..

Before

Removed this little lot..

And left it looking like this

Much much better, was loads of wires not even going anywhere, so out they came.

Then I purchased another distributor block for the battery relocation as the old one was shitty looking..

Got that in and started running the power cable through the car.

Brought it down the exhaust tunnel with all the braided linesto the battery..

Earth from battery, earthed to seat rails..

Did re do all the other earths, in engine bay etc but no pics of that.

Fia battery cut off fitted in the dash..

With it all hooked up I then turned the key in the ignition to test the dash as I'm no electrician, and nothing so whipped the stack out just to find an earth not connected properly so with that sorted I tried again...

Wooohhoooooo it worked! Mega happy.

Then it was time to sort the brakes, ordered up some new bleed nipples as a couple were shagged.

Part numbers if anyone needs..

Which turned out be a pig as upon removal of the shagged ones, they snapped in the calliper. Old on left..

So I left the snapped bit in there and just put new nipples in..

The ones that did go ok, and how they should look..

Then I ran all the front lines from pedal box to callipers..

Bled them all up and all is sweet, no leaks whatsoever, which is always good.

Also had a new windscreen and rear polycarbs fitted yesterday morning, which I fitted a sun strip to today..

Polycarbs..

And finally got my rocker cover back from powder coating..

That is all, might get back down there tomoz and do a few bits..

Got a couple of little bits done yesterday.

Wired up the fuel gauge..

Am going to get a stack wide band gauge to fill the other hole, love how bright the stack gauges are.

And a few pics of the cockpit

Also got a new clutch cable and fitted it..

Definately getting there now
