been looking at these for a wile now and really fancy one, cant be arsed building one but want to jump in and go lol
dont mind if it needs work etc but cant be arsed with building it from scratch.
so
what do ppl think of them are they really all that.... theres a few ive seen kicking about down at PEEL industrial estate, (big meet on a sunday) and they seem to be like shit off a hot shovel.

so whats everyones thoughts on these.
they also seem to vary quite alot in price from like 2-5k. i think i would want to spend somewere around the 3k mark or would that just get me a shit one???

£3k would probly be a bit shit. Ive wanted one for ages but can't justify the funds at the mo. Few choice simple mods and they can see 250bhp + that would dink dank do for me

i loved mine, been most reliable car that ive owned to date, only problem i had was when the turbo died a week before i put it up for sale. whiteline rear antiroll are highly recommended to be fitted aswell to improve handling

Find a cheap 1.2 and send it to warren, pretty sure he's doing drive in/out conversions for not much money, then mod it to your taste (or leave it looking bog standard for more lols)

They have these things called motorways connecting far away places.

Would be worth Warren doing it cause he clearly knows what hes doing, where as buying one done could be problems.

I just hate Corsa Cs with a passion now, horrible cars!

My mate just got a SRI with ZLET, slow as fook imo, I reckon its just a touch faster than my loon if not the same!

And all this zlet is modern blah blah blah so better than a c20let is bollocks!

worth the drive, hes good. £2995 he does it for. ive seen C's go for around £500. you wont get a decent one already done for less than £4k and even at that price it would probably need some work

I beg to differ that a z20let C is slow , A freind has one and his is only running 220 bhp and even thats fast . Couple people on ccuk have them running garrets with 350+ bhp !

I bought mine for 2.5K.

Still had standard 1.0 shocks and random shit tyres so had to spend money on handling etc but the conversion it self was alright and not bodged up.

Lol, mine was quick, but then I had a damn good spec,
Everything was quality parts, think I've got the spec in garage. 298bhp I think 340lb/ft torque, I used a mates race logic meter and managed 0-60 in 4.9 secs, I also had a little fun with a jag s type r and literally left it! J100rsa can vouch for how good this car was, as he built it from the ground up and if you do want one building his work is all oem and factory looking, I'd have another one tomorrow only reason I've split it is to buy a house! So certainly not slow in any way, shape or form

One thing that puts me off them engines is how crap the blocks are for exploding chunks out of them. Not really sure the head flows as good as a let/xe one either really.

Mine had headwork by the engines previous owner so I never experienced any break downs! Plus I had a eds inlet manifold and top hat which flowed air a lot better, coupled with eds cam! Also the mapping was done by RStuning who I've got to say are the dogs bollocks,

My daily drive Ibiza got mapped by awesome gti and whilst it made good power, ask dan (j100rsa) what happened to that, think it was the Bain of his life, and that ended up at RStuning to sort the shit map out

Not very accurate comparison because clet was in a lighter shell but corsa should have been faster!
